1. Tell us about where you are from, when you started playing soccer, and what brought you to Emmaus.
I'm Zack Armfield from Greensboro, NC, I started playing Rec soccer at 13 and started playing competitive level High School Soccer my Junior Year on the Varsity Team for the Forsyth Hawks. What brought me to Emmaus was the desire to get founded deeper into God's Word while getting a 4 yr degree.
2. What is your major?
I am a Business Administration/Bible and Theology Major.
3. What is your favorite memory on the field or involving soccer?
One of my favorite memories from soccer is playing a game on a turf field in the rain at night. That combo was immensely fun, and even though we lost (I think), it was so fun running and sliding on the slick turf in the rain.
4. What is your favorite junk food?
5. Favorite movie?
It's almost impossible for me to pick a favorite; however one that always stays on my favorites list is The Dark Knight.
6. Favorite verse/passage? Why?
Philippians 2. This passage has always been one that has encouraged and uplifted me in trying times with how it describes our Savior Jesus Christ in His humility and service to the Father.
7. Tell us why you feel students should come support Emmaus' sports teams.
I believe the students should support the sports teams so that they can grow more. Sports is not the main focus on at Emmaus but it is an excellent way to live what we believe. When we are out playing soccer, basketball or volleyball we are representing Christ 1st and Emmaus 2nd, which is an amazing opportunity to spread the gospel and Emmaus to other parts of the country in a positive and glorifying manner.
