Tell us about where you are from, when you started playing soccer, and what brought you to Emmaus.
I am from Mazomanie, WI. I started playing soccer in kindergarten and played through 5th grade, as well as my sophomore year in high school. I was influenced to come to
Emmaus Bible College by two of my cousins, but ultimately I came because I wanted to study God’s word more in depth and be surrounded by others who wanted to do the same.

What is your major?
Bachelor of Science in Bible/Theology and Computer Information Systems

What is your favorite memory on or off the field?
My favorite memories, out of many, would have to be road trips especially when we stopped at Long John Silvers, or going outside and watching crazy storms roll by. Basically times when relationships were strengthened or something hilarious happened.

Favorite junk food?
My favorite junk food would have to be Icing-glazed honey buns. That, or pizza.

Favorite Movie?
My favorite movie by far, is The Dark Knight.

Favorite verse/passage and why?
My favorite passage/verse has changed a lot over the years but at the moment it would be Philippians 2:3-4 which says, “Do nothing from rivalry or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only look to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.” It is my favorite verse(s) because it’s a personal challenge to me to love others more than myself and to do those things for the right motives. Most importantly for the glory of God.

Tell us why your fellow students should come support Emmaus’ sports teams.
To my fellow students: You don’t have to come to any of our games. No one keeps track of who comes and who doesn’t. I would kindly ask you, however, to come out and support those of us who are representing you. We represent you on the field/court, so please come cheer us on. We are your brothers and sisters in Christ and one way that you can show you care is by being at our games and being the face and voice of the Emmaus cheering section. Cheer loud and pray hard that we would represent you and Christ in the best way possible.

Tell us about where you are from, when you started playing volleyball, and what brought you to Emmaus.
I am from Mazomonie, WI. I started volleyball in 6th grade. I came to Emmaus because it offered an opportunity to study both nursing and the Bible (I’ve since switched majors).

What is your major?
Biblical Studies.

What is your favorite memory on or off the court?
My high school team qualified for state and it was such a great experience. My favorite Emmaus volleyball memory is last year beating Faith in five sets. Everyone played so well and it was so much fun!

Favorite junk food?
I love chocolate of any kind.

Favorite movie?
It really depends on my mood. I really love the movie A Beautiful Mind.

Favorite verse/passage and why?
I have many favorite verses, but I really like Hebrews 13:8 because it’s encouraging to remember that in a world filled with inconsistency, Jesus is always the same and His attributes are never changing. It encourages me to remain constant in my desire to love Him and His people.

Tell us why your fellow students should come support Emmaus’ sports teams.
Because we’re awesome! But really, it means a lot to look out into the crowd and see our fellow students cheering us on. It makes us want to play even better, knowing that we have their support. Plus who doesn’t love watching a great game of volleyball?!
