Tell us about where you are from, when you started playing soccer, and what brought you to Emmaus.

I'm from Greensboro, North Carolina, I started playing soccer in my sophomore year of high school, and I came to Emmaus to spend a year studying the Bible and to play another year of soccer.

What is your major?

I'm in the one year Bible certificate.

What is your favorite memory on or off the field?

My favorite moment in soccer is when I learned to juggle the ball on my feet more then just twice.

Favorite junk food?

My favorite snack is pretzels.

Favorite Movie?

My favorite movie is "The Emperors New Groove."

Favorite verse/passage and why?

My favorite passage is Ephesians 6:10-19 because it is a good reminder for me on how to protect myself from the attacks of the devil.

Tell us why your fellow students should come support Emmaus’ sports teams.

People should come support Emmaus' sports teams because it is encouraging to the players and promotes team spirit.

Andrew Johnson

Tell us about where you are from, when you started playing soccer, and what brought you to Emmaus.

I'm from Dubuque Iowa. I have been playing soccer my whole life. I came to Emmaus because it is a tradition among my family, but more so that I could come to grow in Christ and learn about the Bible.

What is your major?

I am a business administration major.

What is your favorite memory involving soccer?

Well there was this one time in Kansas City, and it was raining a tad bit at night, Matt, Micah and I were sitting out side on a curb watching this AMAZING lighting storm that was going on. Every time there was a boom of thunder, all the cars in the hotel parking lot would go off. It was a great time.

Favorite junk food?

My favorite junk food would be sour gummy worms, and even though its not considered a junk food, pizza would be one too.

Favorite movie?

My favorite movies changes depending on the day I'm having, but She's The Man, and all of the Toy Story's are great movies.

Favorite verse/passage and why?

Psalm 1 (the whole chapter) would probably be my favorite passage. I really enjoy this Psalm because it is a reminder that living a life that is wicked is not going to be good for me. And even though this passage doesn't say much, it is written by David, who was a man after God's own heart, and this reminds me that I need to try to be like David. A man after God's own heart.

Tell us why you feel students should come support Emmaus' sports teams.

Come to the games because we have spent a lot of time and effort on getting ready for the games to represent Emmaus. It's also much more enjoyable and fun to have a crowd that is loud and making noise at the games!!
