Men’s Soccer Signs Johnson
Isaac Johnson of Marquette, MI has signed his letter of intent to continue his soccer career at Emmaus Bible College. With his commitment, Johnson becomes the sixth member of the 2024-25 Men's Soccer signing class.
Johnson is a 2023 graduate of Marquette Senior High School, where he helped lead his team to four consecutive Upper Peninsula championships. Johnson's combination of speed, power, and technique allowed him to feature in the attack as a winger, while also serving stints as goalkeeper. He also competed for the Marquette United club program, and led his high school program to a 21-2-3 final record in his senior year.
Following high school, Johnson has gained a year of employment and ministry opportunities at Bethel Baptist Church in the areas of youth ministry and technology. Johnson now looks forward to entering the Emmaus campus community.
"We're excited to welcome Isaac to Emmaus this Fall! And we owe a hat-tip to Landon Jacobus from our men's basketball team for introducing Isaac to Emmaus during their time together at Upper Peninsula Bible Camp!" shared head coach Chris McHugh.
"Isaac possesses speed, agility, and competitiveness that will help our group. It was awesome to have Isaac visit campus this year. He's now got connections with several guys on our team like Jake Matte and Caleb Hunter, so we trust he'll settle in great this Fall."
On selecting Emmaus Bible College, Johnson said, "I'm looking forward to getting back out on the field playing with some great guys."
Please join us in welcoming Isaac Johnson to the Emmaus Family!
